Alex Nette, CISSP, CISA

Alex has provided cybersecurity expertise and in-house leadership for almost 15 years. His work has reduced the cybersecurity risk for Fortune 500 tech, financial, healthcare, consumer and packaging goods, manufacturing, and energy companies; in addition to the US Department of Justice, US Federal Aviation Administration, and US House of Representatives. As a CISO, program manager, and subject matter expert, Alex’s work has taken him across every aspect of the cybersecurity industry and at all levels.

Alex sits on the BIT-Cyber Program Advisory Committee at his alma mater, Virginia Tech, is an active contributor to the development of the cybersecurity curriculum for grade school students in the Commonwealth of Virginia, regularly speaks at conferences, and presents in the community to help everyone stay on top of cybersecurity.

Alex received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Virginia Tech, holds multiple industry certifications, including the CISSP and CISA, the rank of Eagle Scout, and is a big fan of Formula 1.
