Meet Hive Systems Defense Solutions at CMMC Midwest and CS5 East
The Hive Systems Defense Solutions team will be at two CMMC events this October: CMMC Midwest in Tulsa, Oklahoma, October 1-2, and CS5 East in National Harbor, Maryland, October 22–23.
There’s been no shortage of CMMC news lately. Between the Phase II suspension, the DoD’s review of the program, and recent changes to DFARS, it can be difficult to separate what has actually changed from what hasn’t.
One thing is clear: CMMC wasn’t pushed to 2028, and defense contractors still have cybersecurity obligations today.

First up is CMMC Midwest.
Katie Dodson, CISSP, CISA, Lead CCA, CCP, President of Hive Systems Defense Solutions, will be speaking at the event.
Katie works directly with organizations navigating CMMC and brings firsthand experience from real assessments to the conversation.

CS5 East | National Harbor | October 22–23
Later in October, we’ll be at CS5 East, the official conference of The Cyber AB.
Katie will facilitate the roundtable “One Objective Away: How CMMC Scoring and POA&M Rules Really Decide Your Assessment.”
The discussion will focus on an area that can make a significant difference during an assessment: how scoring and Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) rules affect the assessment process and outcome.
We’ll have a larger Hive team at CS5 East, so there will be plenty of opportunities to find us and talk through your questions.
